Manual Indexing
Compliance/Archiving Manually indexed emails are stored in a central
email archive, which is a combination of a SQL database and a separate
Mailstore. Single instance archiving is
used to save space. All emails are compressed and encrypted, offering
space savings together with security.
Attachments always remain with their emails. Although the central email archive is ‘outside’ of
Outlook, Mailsafe provides the ‘glue’ so that indexing, searching and viewing
with the same Windows look and feel is performed from a toolbar in Outlook. Exchange Users
Compliance/Archiving Practices using Exchange can use Automatic Indexing
as well as manual indexing of emails and can also benefit from Mailsafe’s
additional features i.e. automatic Mailbox reduction, PST solutions, automatic
capturing of all emails and much more. REQUIRES:
Exchange server 2007/2003/2000, Outlook 2007/2003, SQL Server
2008/2005/2000 Backup of
Compliance/Archive Backup of the central email archive, which is
separate to Outlook and Exchange, ensures that even if your email system
‘crashes’ your archived emails will still be available as a ‘failsafe’ for
searching, finding and viewing.
